Where am I and Why is there a Man by my side?

Well I figured I would get on here and say something about having been married for an entire week!! I had the most amazing time last week getting to marry my best friend in the Houston Temple. What an experience! It's still so surreal right now that it catches me off guard to think I have a "HUSBAND"- yeah i know crazy. Reality has kind of sunken in now that I started back at school this week and life goes on.. but I am still very much in awe at how wonderful love is and how families are the most beautiful creations! Ok the cheese is over.... Sorry!

Pics to come!!!

Nicks Blog

Well were do we start, this blog site is cool! I better say something about how i met katie. I first met her in church in Darwin Australia, and i have to say that she instantly caught my eye. but it wasnt until i was finished university and about to leave Darwin that things started to devolop in our friendship, so i left Darwin and moved to Melbourne but kept talking to Katie, so i took a week of work and flew back to Darwin just before katie and her family were to leave back for America. We then realised that we were definately interested in each other by now, but she was moving back to the states. Argh what do i do?

Well we kept talking on the phone all the time and this culminated in me coming over to the States last christmas which was an awesome time especially up in denver and the rocky mountains (i could live there forever). Then katie came over to Australia in April this year and i tried my best to show her the best in the west (ningaloo, and margaret river) which truly is one of the more amazing places in Australia. I propsed to her whilst she was here and it was the best thing i have ever done. and i have since been back to the states in june july this year and will be finishing up work and moving over in two weeks (yay) to get married and hopefully if i get my visa we will live happily ever after!!! (haha yeah right).

Seriously proposing to katie is the best thing that i have ever done and it has turned my world as ive known it upside down but i can't wait for the adventures to come with being married to my sweetheart Katie.

Our summer trip to Schlitterbahn and Sea World (Jordan's pick) before I started school this summer!

The night Nick asked me to marry him while on watching a sunset on the beach in Western Australia. The best night of my life so far!
Well here we are! This is a firsttime blog experience for me and I find it quite amazing what I can come up with to do to keep myself from studying! I guess I should fill everyone in on what's been happening in the last little while.... Me and Nick met in 2004 when I was living in Darwin, Australia with my family. He had also recently moved there to finish his Environmental Management degree. We met at church and were good friends the entire two years I lived there. When Nick finally had to leave for a work opportunity I realized that he was so much more than a "friend". It's been a long time- long distance relationship but we finally got engaged in April and are getting married on Oct. 10, 2008 in the Houston LDS Temple. Nick is currently still living between countries and I am pursuing my masters degree in nurse anesthesia. I can't wait to marry my best friend and have him closer to me and live in the same country! I know that Jordan is excited too. He will be going into Kindergarten this fall and it's very scary to think how big he's getting! I feel very blessed at the moment and am definitely counting the blessings in my life daily!
